There are hereby imposed upon the businesses, professions, trades, vocations, enterprises,
establishments, occupations, and callings set forth in this chapter business taxes
in the amounts set forth in Article 2 of this chapter. It shall be unlawful for any
person to transact and carry on any business, trade, vocation, enterprise, establishment,
occupation, or calling in the City without first having procured a business tax certificate
from the City so to do or without complying with all of the applicable provisions
of this chapter.
