§ 7-1.505. Permits: Issuance: Denial: Conditions.

  • The Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to issue or withhold the permits required by the provisions of this article at his discretion, or, when such permits are issued, to limit the number of trips, or to establish seasonal or other time limitations within which the vehicles described may be operated on the streets indicated, or to otherwise limit or prescribe conditions for the operation of such vehicles as deemed necessary to assure against undue interference with traffic or damages to the street foundations, surfaces, or structures, and the Director of Public Works may require the undertaking of other security measures as may be deemed necessary to protect the streets and bridges from injury or to provide indemnity for any possible injuries resulting from the operation of such vehicles.
