Variances from the terms of this Article shall be granted either pursuant to the procedures
of Section 9-52.090 (Variances) or as part of a planned development permit, cluster development permit,
special use permit, specific plan, or other entitlement provided the findings required
by this Section are made prior to the approval of the project. Any variance granted
shall be subject to the findings required by Section 9-52.090 (Variances), including, but not limited to, an express finding that the granting
of the variance will serve the interests of preserving and protecting the public health,
safety, or welfare.
