This Chapter establishes the space allocation for recyclable and discard materials
in public, institutional, commercial, industrial, and residential developments. The
purpose of this Article is to assist the City in maintaining a 50 percent diversion
rate, as mandated by the Integrated Waste Management Act of 1989 (AB 939).
