Article 2. Citizens' Election Advisory Commission* |
§ 2-3.206. Meetings.
(a)
Time and place. The Citizens' Election Advisory Commission shall convene at least four (4) weeks prior to the date of the notice of any special or general municipal election in the City at a regularly designated place and perform those functions and duties set forth in this article. The Commission shall convene at a regularly designated place no later than five (5) days after each filing deadline for campaign statements. The chairperson or, in his absence, the vice-chairperson shall be authorized to call additional meetings as he deems advisable.
(b)
Presiding officer. The Commission, from its members, shall select a chairperson, vice-chairperson, and secretary.
(c)
Open to the public. All meetings of the Commission and all business conducted by the Commission shall be subject to the requirements of the Ralph M. Brown Act contained in Sections 54950 through 54961 of the Government Code of the State.
(d)
Quorum. A quorum for Commission meetings shall consist of a majority of the existing membership of the Commission.
