§ 4-8.17. Taxicabs: Approval.

Every taxicab, before being placed in service, shall be approved by the Chief of Police who shall approve the vehicle if it meets the standards of cleanliness and appearance set forth in this chapter, if the applicant has presented the certificate of inspection required by subsection (d) of Section 4-8.12 of this chapter, and if the applicant is not disqualified pursuant to the provisions of Section 4-8.09 of this chapter.
